Like most holidays, New Year’s Eve beckons to be celebrated. But for some parents, it’s difficult to find family-friendly events where they can not only ring in the new year, they can do so with their children. Fortunately, there are many such events in the Northern Virginia area. Here are just a few.
Falls Church Watch Night
The City of Falls Church will ring in 2015 with a free, family-oriented event, the Watch Night New Year’s Eve spectacular. The celebration will feature entertainment, performances and interactive festivities for all ages. The evening will also include a New Year’s countdown and lowering of the historic star that first lit the Falls Church sky in 1948 – the year Falls Church became an independent city.
Watch Night will take place at the intersection of Broad Street (Route 7) and Washington Street (Route 29), City of Falls Church. All venues are located within three blocks. A shuttle bus will be available between venues and from the East Falls Church Metro. Click here for more details.
