Dear Sparkles! at Crystal City Parents,
Hello everyone! I am so excited to be joining the Sparkles! family of Crystal City, and am humbled to have been chosen for this position as I know our corporate office has spent a lot of time and energy finding the right person for this position.
A little bit about myself: I am the proud mother and grandmother of 5 grown children and 4 grandchildren. As such, l understand the importance of exceptional, quality child care and how critical it is for you to have the rested assurance knowing your child is safe, happy and thriving in a fun, educational and age appropriate environment.
I am originally from Canada, our family moved to Roanoke, VA in 1998 and in 2002, again moved to Northern Virginia. I am very active with outdoor activities, such as hiking, kayaking, tennis, and use boxing/kickboxing as my indoor activity. I have worked as a Child and Youth Counselor, in many areas, from crisis intervention, young offenders, child birth delivery and adoptions, social services, education, special needs, and over the last 16 years, management within early childhood education, I hold a Bachelorette degree in Social Work with a minor in Special Education.
I am very approachable and do my best to have an open-door policy for the families in my program. Due to the hands-on nature of childcare, I am not able to handle walk-in meetings, but I am always happy to schedule an appointment to address concerns in a timely manner so l can give you the full attention you require. Of course, if there is a critical matter, please let me know.
Meanwhile, feel free to come by the office and introduce yourself and tell me a bit about yourself and
your experience at Sparkles! I look forward to working with you and your children to offer the best child
care experience possible and to give you peace of mind you while you are away from your little
With Your Child in Mind,
